Meet the Team
John Q and Alex A have more than 30 years combined experience, from two very different music industry backgrounds. As similarly as they started, a base in live musical performances, they ended up taking two different paths inside of the music industry. This allows them to have a deep understanding of how the industry works, and how to optimize the connection between local level and label level. One has a background in the business side and one a background in branding. One has a focus on stylistic production and one has a focus on technical production. Both have a common goal of raising the bar for new music, making it vibrant and fun while still keeping it original and new.
John q
While focusing on a career as a performance artist, John Q began a record label; All My Homies was initially created as a way to support himself, his friends, and musical connections. Eventually the position grew to encompass management, booking, marketing, DJing, live sound, and a myriad of other tasks. These ventures proved to be invaluable when John Q found himself in between major record labels and remix culture artists in the emerging world of online social media trends. John Q’s efforts have also been recognized at an educational level as he is also a professor at Valencia College.
He currently manages the internet sensation iMarkKeys.
Alex A
Similarly, Alex A started as a performance artist, playing in local bands and eventually moving up to touring level bands. During this period he discovered a love for the technical aspects of recording — something that lead to a position as a studio tech at a local college. From there he grew into a professor of music production at Valencia College, a position he still holds. Notably he spent a couple of years learning from and eventually working for the world famous mastering engineer, Bob Katz. After working for Bob, Alex A recognized the need to brand and market artists to help them grow and “move up”, so he created Wintermute Productions. Under Wintermute, Scene|ORL was created as a way to showcase local music and highlight Wintermute artists.

Kim
ConsultQnA Live Stream Producer
Kim may or may not exists and quite possibly could be a mythical creature or some sort of immortal goddess with a wisdom unfathomable to mere mortals. She allegedly produces the ConsultQnA live stream, but nobody can figure out if this enigma actually uses her laptop or simply conjures our likeness onto Twitch every Wednesday. We just assume time and space happen because she wills it, and for that we are grateful.
